Following a number of requests from Government agencies and Aboriginal organisations, the Aboriginal Affairs and Reconciliation Division is currently trialling a public calendar of significant events on the APY Lands.
Click
here to view the calendar (external
site)
It is intended to assist in the sharing of information, communication and co-ordination between Government agencies and APY Lands service providers.
For those who work or visit the Lands, its three main purposes are:
- To avoid scheduling meetings when your target audience may have other events booked
- To avoid the major events that effects a relatively large number of people on the Lands (eg footy finals)
- To improve collaboration between organisations so that they can schedule visits appropriately to minimise the impact on individual communities and key community members.
When you open this public internet calendar, just click on the event to find out more information such as who may be involved and contact details of the convenor.
If you deliver a program or intend to hold an event (eg a major meeting or run training) that would affect a significant number of APY community members we encourage you to list your event on the calendar.
Please send your event details including time, date, venue and contact details to bell.joanne@dpc.sa.gov.au
