The Office of the Employee Ombudsman provides advice
and assistance to South Australian employees.
Services overview:
- advises employees on their rights and obligations
under awards and enterprise agreements
- investigates claims by employees or associations
representing employees of coercion in the negotiation of enterprise
agreements
- scrutinises enterprise agreements lodged for approval
under the Fair Work Act 1994 and intervenes in the proceedings for
approval if required
- represents employees in proceedings (other than
proceedings for unfair dismissal) if the employee is not otherwise
represented
- advises individual home-based workers who are
not covered by awards or enterprise agreements
- provides an advisory service on the rights of
employees in the workplace on occupational health and safety issues.
